Meet Travis

Travis is a native of Erie who earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. After working for a time in the hospitality and food industries, he took on the role of trade support specialist at BNY Mellon. Travis says his interest in wealth coaching and paraplanning began there.

Travis credits his colleagues and mentors in the financial advisor field as inspirations for his career path. “Their influence was pivotal at a time when personal and professional growth were at the forefront of my mind, especially after getting married,” he says. After marrying his wife Amanda, Travis moved from Pittsburgh to Erie to focus on his “passion in the financial sector.”

Noting areas of need in the financial industry which he believed weren’t sufficiently addressed at the time, Travis was inspired to pursue change in the financial sector, taking the challenge of diagnosing and solving financial inefficiencies. “I saw it as my responsibility to advocate for and implement improvements that would benefit clients and the industry as a whole.”

Travis ultimately decided to pursue a career in wealth coaching for prosperous individuals and paraplanning with other financial advisors. He began working in financial services in 2017 and eventually found a home with White Oak Wealth Partners, where he offers “somewhat non-traditional” consultations to both families and businesses.

With White Oak Wealth Partners, Travis steers his clients through the milestones on their financial journeys. He visualizes his role as helping others on their “ascent and descent of the mountain of life.” The ascent represents the time his clients are actively working and growing their wealth, while the descent represents making the most out of their retirement.

Travis’s role requires a collaborative, trust-building mindset. He and his White Oak partners take the time to construct innovative strategies, each one unique to the needs of every client. Travis says the biggest reward in his role is watching clients succeed in their financial goals and stabilize their futures.
